JoJoe, a Jamaican-born vocalist/rapper/entertainer now residing in Montreal, has remained one of the dominant forces where reggae music is concerned. He has shared the stage with reggae artists such as Burning Spear, Sugar Minott, Richie Stevens, The Mighty Diamonds, Freddie McGregor, Beres Hammond, Culture, Marcia Griffiths and many more.
JoJoe has also given his support to various organizations for events such as Jamaica Day (Montreal Jamaica Association), Les Nuits d’Afriques, Montreal International Reggae Festival and The Caravan Organization.
JoJoe has also collaborated with other artists such as Josh (www.planetjosh.com - Courtesy of Josh Entertainment), Trinidadian top musician and pannist Martin Albino and Mellow Mood compilation projects.
He has released his debut CD, self-titled JoJoe, a beautifully catchy collection of songs, which is presently rising on the Galaxie charts and has received great reviews from Rupert Bottenberg (Montreal Mirror), Duke Eatmon (CBC Radio) and Egbert Gaye (Community Contact).
One of the songs titled “Things Mi Used To Do” was featured in the film “Revival Blues” by renowned Canadian director Claude Gagnon. JoJoe is a constant performer and is usually accompanied by his 4-5 piece band "Crowded Bus".
